A New Chapter

I officially said goodbye to school at the end of 2016. It may be harder for me to manage everything on my own without instructors, but I’m ready to face the challenges life throws my way. I’ve accepted that growing up means discovering who I really am and what I’m capable of. That’s all that really matters.

No one knows how hard the past three months have been for me, and honestly, I didn’t feel the need to explain it to anyone. It would have taken away my precious sleep time, so I mostly stayed silent. One thing I’ve learned though is that you can’t satisfy everyone at the same time. So, just take it easy when people misunderstand you.

This month, I’ve traveled to Singapore, LA, SF, Manila, and Cebu since starting my duty as a flight crew member. Everything has been great, especially the passengers, who have made me love my job even more. This role has taught me how to communicate with people. As a shy introvert, someone who once avoided talking to strangers and even disliked being around people, this has been a challenge. But with patience and mental support from my family and friends, I’ve gotten much better at it. Now, starting conversations with strangers feels easy. I genuinely love helping people, and I love being a cabin crew member.

2017 is the year to focus on the project I’ve always dreamed about. Saving money for it, learning more for it, and working hard for it. It feels like I’m being born again, with the freedom to pursue what I want while I’m still young. Happiness.
